This is an oil on linen canvas inspired from a Sunday-Easter walk on the canal towpath. This beautiful and curious young swan followed me for a while and the late afternoon light we were enjoying together was spectacular; a beautiful moment.
To capture the beauty of the swan and the light I used a mixture of both Michael Harding and Winsor & Newton oils applied in layers. To capture the water I used a medium of varnish, linseed oil and turpentine. The edges are painted in a pleasing light dusky blue.

Much care and attention is taken in packaging my work for both national and international delivery. This item will be packaged firstly with an acid-free tissue paper to ensure a protective layer. All corners are protected with corner protectors. It is then finished with a triple wrapping of eco-friendly bubble wrap with two cardboard sheets and placed into another cardboard covering.
