Description
I've been inspired to work in Oil and Wax to explore abstract work with thicker paint application. I'm interested in the emotions of colour and primarily in the calming moods that can be achieved by working with teal, blue and off whites. I really love the energy and vibrancy that shows when you paint waves. I particularly love this painting and think its a corker. The edges have been painted to correspond with the image. (In fact the edges need a bit more time to dry).
In terms of my application of oil colour and wax, I predominantly use a mixture of both Winsor & Newton Griffin Alkyd and Melanie Cambridge Oils. If a higher pigment is still required I use Michael Harding Oils. I apply between 3-7 layers of oil colour to my work dependent on complexity. To get the great textural look - I have been using Gamblin Wax with the oil. Allows for wonderful mark making and energy.
Much care and attention is taken in packaging my work for both national and international delivery. This item will be packaged firstly with an acid-free tissue paper to ensure a protective layer and is then sealed in clear plastic cellophane. All corners are protected with cardboard corner protectors. It is then finished with a double wrapping of bubble wrap with two cardboard sheets and placed into another cardboard covering.
Comes with hanging fastenings on the back. And ready to hang. Framing can be done but isn't necessary. Depends on taste.
