Description
Using both Michael Harding and Winsor & Newton oils applied in layers - this is a striking oil on primed raw linen canvas painting of one of the oldest streets in Paris that I visited, Rue de l'Ancienne-Comédie, located in the Monnaie district and commonly known in English as the Old Comedy Street.
This 15th century imposing iron gate and stone archway just beyond Le Procope, the oldest cafe in Paris, sets the scene. This particular piece was completed over an eight month period, with many of the early stages available to view on Facebook - Hannah Bruce Art, and is available both framed and unframed.
