Flowers in Atmospheric Blue and Orange

Updated into a new portrait format with art work wrapped to the edges of a shallow depth stretcher bars. Suitable for hanging straight up without frame.

I am really into exploring Narrow Depth of Field images at the moment. And this is an image using one such photograph. I really enjoy the fuzzy/smooth aspect of the background against the finely tuned flowers, thought they still retain some painterly qualities not to make them look like a photograph. These larger paintings are fantastic when seen from a distance and close up.

This painting, along with all others, will have the Bruce Family Crest/insignia stamped in wax on the back.
