Description
Oil Painting on Linen Canvas
This painting was inspired by the photography work of a Jules Gervais-Courtellemont. The image was taken on the banks of the Dordogne near Beaulieu, France. It was such a beautiful photograph and really appealed to me because of the plein air painters of the day. I've played a little with the composition and made it in an impressionistic style. I've limited my colour palette, though I would love to paint it again one day and use another colour set. Such fun to do.
