Description
On Saturday 17th September 2022 I began a plein air painting event with a trip to Windsor. The period of mourning for the queen was taking place and Windsor Castle became a location for tens of thousands of visitors to pay their respects. This painting captures the queues on the long walk leading to Windsor Castle. People picnicing on the grass and walking dogs. It was a moving experience and everyone was so lovely. 8 painters took part on that day in Windsor.
