Description
Acrylic inks on Two Rivers hand-pressed paper.
This tiger painting is in a signature style of mine. I used a traditional brush and nib-based pen and high-quality lightfast inks on hand-made watercolour paper with an abstracted background. This has been painted in Acrylic inks on specialist Two Rivers hand pressed 300GSM paper.
With this style of artwork, I create the background ink study first and then looking at the abstract I decide on how best to incorporate an animal, bird, or insect into the spaces available. Rather like looking at clouds, I let the composition of the abstract dictate the outcome.
It is painted in a soft dove grey and dark grey and is accentuated by the carefully selected frame. The mount is a specialist deep one in soft white. The colour of the frame is grey blue with a tiny nod towards purple.
Easily posted UK and abroad and will come with tape across the glass for protection.
