In this work, my method of painting is characterised by more immediate mark-making in artist’s knife layers of thick paint, with careful colour application for balance and by the ebb and flow of resin. This show of work is based upon aerial views of water. The techniques involve constant assessment, measurement, and exploration of pigments and their configurations with an emphasis on the rule of thirds and the weighting of tonal light and dark.
