Over the last few years I have helped quite a number of artists with their social media. All in all I really enjoy marketing - I know - I'm weird. There aren't too many artists out there that relish meeting people and talking about their art. Most prefer the making side of things. I suppose it stems from being an absolute obsessive about the subject and my very deep seated teacher roots.
So what has evolved has been the realisation that I'm just as good at teaching marketing as I am at teaching art. The ability to sell ones self, which we do at interviews and which - perversely, I also enjoy. As I write this I realise that perhaps I am rather self absorbed but I'm very equally interested in community and helping others.
Supporting artists to realise their dreams - inspires me.
So I've written a book about everything I've learnt about online marketing and heaps of which is as current and up to date as it can be right now. I want to share this knowledge to help all artists to improve their online presence. Especially as an online presence is often the first step towards accomplished marketing and getting braver; doing things outside our comfort zone.
So please do go and check out the new book - I promise that for the price of a fancy card you are going to get some seriously good inspiration that you can dip in and out of.
